NB&PEI Division is looking to hire a responsible team member for support supervisor,
Base Security 2IC position at 5 CDSB Gagetown in Oromocto, New Brunswick.
Location: Oromocto, NB
Hours: Monday to Friday- 7am- 3pm, with
potential for afterhours/weekend calls as this is a 24/7-365 security detail

The
Role: The Base
Security 2IC position is responsible for working with the Officer in
Charge to keep the security detail running smoothly by greeting visitors, coaching
staff and completing administrative tasks all while keeping high levels of confidentiality
and professionalism.
Responsibilities:

Promoting Well-being and Morale: Maintaining the well-being and morale of the team, reporting concerns to the
appropriate authority, and coordinating with the RM and client as needed.
·
Compliance: Making sure all Commissionaires follow Post Orders and Policies
and Procedures correctly.
·
Managing Absenteeism and Staffing: Monitoring absenteeism
by taking sick calls and recording no shows
·
Providing Training/Coaching: Ensuring Commissionaires receive
proper orientation, and site-specific training to both new and
existing employees
·
Greet and direct base visitors- distribute base maps and town of Oromocto maps as needed
·
Administrative Tasks: Receive and direct incoming
calls, update key list compound, order
supplies, maintain logbook with building maintenance needs/inform RPOU, shred
confidential information, file incident reports, control vehicle storage compound
(maintain file/complete waivers/gather insurance), review hand over check sheet
and exchange pertinent with Base Duty Officer

Maintains High Level of Confidentiality: Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to
confidentiality by safeguarding sensitive information, ensuring discretion in
all communications, and adhering
to privacy protocols to protect the integrity and trust of the
organization.

In winter months- shovel and salt sidewalks hourly and prior to shift end
Qualifications:
·
Approachable with good deportment; experience working with government department representatives
·
Ability to defuse conflict
situations with communication skills
·
Proven problem-solving and organization skills
·
Demonstrated leadership abilities
·
Technological competencies: computer literate (MS Outlook, Word,
Excel, SharePoint)
·
Effective verbal,
listening and written
communication skills
·
Clean
Criminal Record and able to get an Enhanced Security Clearance
Bilingual
(French/English) and Designated Veteran Status are both assets but not
requirements.
