About the Opportunity
Altis Recruitment is partnering with a large, well-established public sector organization seeking a Service Management CMDB Specialist to support enterprise IT service management initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Management, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and strategic value of the ServiceNow CMDB across a complex technology environment.
This is an opportunity to influence how technology assets and services are governed at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional IT, operations, and business teams to strengthen data governance, improve service visibility, and support transformation initiatives that directly impact communities across Ontario.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll design, implement, and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB architecture aligned with ITIL best practices.
You’ll lead data governance efforts, ensuring accurate configuration item management, validation, and reconciliation processes.
You’ll oversee ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping configuration to enhance automation, coverage, and service visibility.
You’ll standardize CMDB processes across lines of business and drive workflow automation and optimization.
You’ll serve as the CMDB subject matter expert, guiding stakeholders and facilitating workshops and training sessions.
You’ll develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to monitor CMDB health and support informed decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in IT service management, including 3+ years managing a ServiceNow CMDB in a large enterprise environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, with ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or CMDB-related certification.
Experience working within large, complex, or regulated IT environments.
Proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB configuration, discovery tools, and data governance practices.
