About the Opportunity
Our client, a large and well-established Canadian retail organization, is seeking a Product Flow Analyst to join its Ordering Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient product movement across a complex national supply chain network, balancing service levels, capacity constraints, and cost considerations.
You will act as a central point of contact for inbound and outbound flow challenges, working closely with Replenishment, Transportation, Distribution Centres, and vendor partners. This is a fast-paced, operationally focused role where strong analytical ability and confident stakeholder communication are essential.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll manage inbound and outbound product flow strategies, aligning vendor shipping plans with distribution and transportation capacity.
You’ll oversee and execute rush and expedited requests, approving or declining activity based on established service criteria and operational guidelines.
You’ll monitor and prioritize offshore, domestic, and cross-border inbound shipments, adjusting plans to mitigate delays or disruptions.
You’ll investigate shipment issues such as missing product, capacity constraints, or supplier delays and recommend optimal solutions.
You’ll perform detailed analysis to assess trade-offs between service, cost, and operational risk.
You’ll collaborate daily with Replenishment, Planning, Transportation, DC operations, and project teams to resolve complex flow challenges.
You’ll identify and implement continuous improvements to product flow processes and maintain accurate operational documentation.
Skills and Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in a retail or large-scale supply chain environment
Post-secondary education required
Strong Excel skills are essential, including formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, and the ability to build and interpret operational reports independently
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities in time-sensitive operational environments
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate clearly at all levels
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and non-standard situations requiring tailored solutions
