Are you a dependable, professional security driver who thrives on mobility, responsibility, and real-world impact? Commissionaires Southern Alberta is seeking Relief Security Mobile Drivers to support public and private sector clients through mobile patrols, alarm response, and rapid incident intervention across Southern Alberta.
This is not a static post. As a Mobile Driver, you are often the first presence on scene, ensuring safety, deterrence, and professional response across multiple sites. Your judgment, driving skill, and situational awareness directly contribute to the protection of people, property, and operations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct mobile patrols to deter, detect, and respond to security concerns
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and service calls
- Safely operate and maintain security vehicles in compliance with all laws and policies
- Monitor access points and conduct welfare checks on security personnel
- Provide on-site support during incidents and assist with investigations
- Maintain accurate, detailed logs and incident reports
- Deliver professional customer service to clients, staff, and the public
- Follow established security protocols while adapting to evolving situations
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (no demerits)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Fluent in English (written, verbal, and reading)
- Valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using security technology, mobile devices, and reporting systems
- Ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective during emergencies
- Willingness to work days, nights, overnights, and weekends
Assets:
- Former RCMP or Military experience
- Military family member
- Education or background in Law Enforcement
Physical & Operational Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and drive for extended periods
- Perform indoor and outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions
- Climb or descend stairs as required
- Maintain focus and alertness during long shifts
Working Conditions & Schedule
- 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
- Flexible scheduling across days, nights, and weekends
