About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing organization in the property and storage operations sector to hire a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of 16 properties across Ottawa and the GTA. This is a field-based role focused on protecting and enhancing brand standards while ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently, and proactively.
Reporting to the Vice President of Procurement, you will oversee building operations, maintenance technicians, vendor coordination, inspections, and capital planning initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on-site, rolling up their sleeves, and taking pride in ensuring properties are well maintained and projects move forward smoothly.

You will receive a competitive base salary in the $75,000 to $80,000 range, annual bonus opportunity, employer-paid health and dental benefits, company vehicle, and vacation flexibility.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll oversee day-to-day facilities operations across a multi-site portfolio, conducting regular inspections and proactively identifying maintenance needs.
You’ll supervise and support Maintenance Technicians, ensuring training, performance, and safety standards are upheld.
You’ll coordinate repairs, maintenance, and small capital projects, working closely with trades and the procurement team.
You’ll manage preventative maintenance programs, documentation, and long-term capital planning.
You’ll act as the primary point of contact for facilities-related service requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
You’ll ensure all properties reflect brand standards and comply with health and safety policies.
Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, property management, or technical building operations.
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, life safety, fire suppression, and general mechanical systems.
Experience overseeing maintenance teams and coordinating with external trades.
Hands-on mindset with a strong work ethic and pride of ownership.
Ability to manage multiple sites independently and travel as required.
Post-secondary education in building sciences, business, or a related field, or relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
