About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established compliance and market-access organization seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their small, collaborative finance team. This private-sector services organization is known for its commitment to precision, integrity, and operational excellence.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support full-cycle accounting operations and help ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Working closely with colleagues and leadership, your contributions will directly support the organization’s financial health and its ability to deliver high-quality services, all within a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll manage end-to-end Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, preparing payment runs, and reconciling vendor statements.
  • You’ll oversee Accounts Receivable by issuing invoices, applying payments, and monitoring aging reports to support timely collections.
  • In this role, you’ll perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and prepare journal entries to maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • You’ll support month-end and year-end close processes, contributing to financial statement preparation and documentation.
  • You’ll assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting support, providing ad hoc analysis as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in transactional and full-cycle accounting.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Experience with accounting software, NetSuite is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a small, team-oriented environment.
