About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected organization in the non-profit and regulatory sector is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their People Services team. This role is central to delivering a thoughtful, compliant, and employee-focused HR experience, supporting both leaders and employees through key moments that matter, from onboarding to leave management and beyond.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to guide complex employee matters, contribute to policy development, and ensure legislative compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll manage end-to-end employee leave administration, including disability, parental, and job-protected leaves
  • In this role, you’ll develop accommodation and return-to-work plans, partnering with leaders, employees, and external provider
  • You’ll lead onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a seamless and engaging new hire experience
  • You’ll monitor and interpret legislative changes, contributing to policy updates and compliance initiatives
  • You’ll oversee accessibility planning and reporting, supporting inclusive workplace practices
  • You’ll deliver HR compliance training and enhance learning programs across the organization
  • You’ll analyze HR data and trends to inform program improvements and organizational insights

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on leave management and employee experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex disability and accommodation cases
  • Proven ability to develop HR policies, programs, and deliver training initiatives
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Workday experience is a strong asset
  • Exceptional communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
