Our client, a well-established Canadian manufacturing organization, is seeking a Process Documentation Specialist to bring structure, clarity, and consistency to operational workflows. Reporting into the Customer Experience portfolio, this role plays a critical part in translating how work happens on the floor into standardized, audit-ready documentation that supports quality, safety, and scalability.
This is a highly collaborative position where you will partner with frontline teams, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Customer Experience to capture real-world processes and transform them into clear, governed documentation. Your Responsibilities
Will include but may not be limited to the following;
- You’ll document and standardize end-to-end business and operational processes, including SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and supporting materials.
- In this role, you’ll conduct interviews, job shadowing, and workflow walk-throughs to capture accurate, detailed process insights.
- You’ll translate complex or informal practices into clear, structured documentation that drives consistency across shifts and departments.
- You’ll ensure all materials meet document control standards, including versioning, approvals, and controlled storage within SharePoint.
- You’ll collaborate with Quality and leadership teams to identify documentation gaps, recommend practical improvements, and ensure documentation aligns with standards and internal compliance requirements.
- You’ll support training initiatives by aligning documentation with LMS-based learning content and ERP workflows.
- You'll serve as a documentation subject-matter resource for process
standardization initiatives and maintain and organize controlled documentation libraries to ensure accessibility and accuracy
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5 plus years of experience in process documentation, SOP development, or operational documentation.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Technical Writing, Information Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, interviewing, and observation skills.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex workflows.
- Highly detailed with a strong organizational discipline.
- Comfortable working independently and engaging directly in a plant environment during onboarding and as needed on an ongoing basis.
- A willingness to collaborate with frontline teams as processes change on an ongoing basis.
- Ability to learn and navigate internal systems and platforms, including
ERP and LMS tools
