Commissionaires Southern Alberta is currently seeking Guards and Matrons to support operations at the Cardston RCMP Detachment on a casual, on-call basis.
About the Role
As a Guard or Matron, you will play a critical support role within the RCMP detachment, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of people in custody. Working closely with RCMP members, you will:
- Monitor detainees and complete required checks
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation
- Assist RCMP members with daily custody-related tasks
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and secure holding environment
- Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and sound judgment
This position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a controlled, structured environment.
Who We’re Looking For
- Ability to successfully complete an RCMP Security Clearance
(Clearance process typically takes ~3 months) - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Current Emergency or Standard First Aid certification
- Former RCMP or Military experience is a strong asset
