About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to lead a national workforce initiative that is shaping the future of Canada’s electric vehicle sector. This role sits within a mission driven, non profit organization focused on workforce development and community impact.

You will partner with regional colleges across Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, collaborate with employers, and guide a dedicated project team. With more than 1,000 participants expected to benefit, your leadership will directly influence how training is delivered, how data is tracked, and how outcomes are achieved in a complex, multi partner environment.

What’s in it for You

You will join a collaborative team that values initiative, flexibility, and fresh thinking. This is a pilot style project where innovation and adaptability are encouraged, and where your industry insight will truly matter.

The organization offers a 7 hour workday, 4 weeks vacation, comprehensive health and dental benefits, a wellness spending account, and a pension plan after one year. You will also gain national exposure, working with funders, colleges, and employers across Canada.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead end to end implementation of the EVolveSkills project, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and funder expectations.

  • In this role, you’ll build and manage relationships with colleges, employers, and government partners across three provinces.

  • You’ll oversee budget management, cashflow tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.

  • You’ll supervise and mentor a small project team, fostering accountability and collaboration.

  • You’ll guide outreach and promotional strategies, helping pipeline participants into training cohorts.

  • You’ll monitor KPIs, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver timely reports to funders and senior leadership.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience leading complex, multi partner workforce or training initiatives

  • 5+ years of progressive people leadership and supervision experience

  • Strong knowledge of the automotive or EV sector

  • Proven experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and spreadsheets with high attention to detail

  • Experience working with government funded programs and post secondary institutions

  • Confident presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building skills

  • Proficiency in MS 365 including Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint

Note from the Hiring Manager
