About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to lead a national workforce initiative that is shaping the future of Canada’s electric vehicle sector. As Senior Manager, EVolveSkills, you will oversee a government funded training program designed to upskill automotive technicians and create new pathways into the EV industry. This role sits within a mission driven, non profit organization focused on workforce development and community impact.
You will partner with regional colleges across Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, collaborate with employers, and guide a dedicated project team. With more than 1,000 participants expected to benefit, your leadership will directly influence how training is delivered, how data is tracked, and how outcomes are achieved in a complex, multi partner environment.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll lead end to end implementation of the EVolveSkills project, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and funder expectations.
In this role, you’ll build and manage relationships with colleges, employers, and government partners across three provinces.
You’ll oversee budget management, cashflow tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
You’ll supervise and mentor a small project team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
You’ll guide outreach and promotional strategies, helping pipeline participants into training cohorts.
You’ll monitor KPIs, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver timely reports to funders and senior leadership.
Skills and Qualifications
5 to 10 years of experience leading complex, multi partner workforce or training initiatives
5+ years of progressive people leadership and supervision experience
Strong knowledge of the automotive or EV sector
Proven experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and spreadsheets with high attention to detail
Experience working with government funded programs and post secondary institutions
Confident presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building skills
Proficiency in MS 365 including Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
