We are currently recruiting
qualified and professional individuals to join our Enhanced Healthcare
Security Officer team in Charlottetown, PEI.
The Role:
The Enhanced
Healthcare Security Officers’ mission is to deliver an enriched level of safety
and security within the hospital setting through a combination of empathy,
proactive customer interactions and by applying established security practices
and procedures.
Enhanced Healthcare
Security Officers work in collaboration with hospital staff to
support mutually dependent activities within the hospital setting.
Rate of Pay: $30.16 per hour
Benefits: Health, Vision, and
Dental Benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D plans
Hours: Full time; 24/7, 8
and 12-hour shifts rotating shifts
Position
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a university
degree in a related field such as Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, or
Law Enforcement Studies or a one- or two-year College Diploma in a related
discipline such as Policing, Corrections, Criminal Justice, or Behavioral
Sciences
- Experience in lieu of
formal education that may be considered:
- Minimum of three years of
applicable military service, or
- Three years and 6,000+
hours work experience in Healthcare Security, or
- Minimum of three years experience in a related
field such as:
- Law Enforcement or
Correctional Services
- Emergency Medical Services
(EMS) or Fire Services
- Mental Health Support
roles in institutional or community settings
- Must successfully complete a
Physical Ability Assessment
- Successful completion of
required training courses
- Clean Criminal Record check
(CPIC and VS)
- Excellent communication,
interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Competency and comfort with
technology
