As the Senior HR Professional, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a people-first culture that drives growth, engagement, and impact. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead the development and implementation of HR policies that align with provincial and federal regulations and organizational goals.
- In this role, you’ll oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and succession planning for staff and volunteers.
- You’ll guide leadership and governance teams through HR processes, including employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
- You’ll foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, promoting professional development and equity across the organization.
- You’ll manage employee benefits and compensation strategies to support organizational sustainability and engagement.
- You’ll administer health and safety programs, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HR management experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- HR certification such as CHRP or CHRL
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment laws, the Human Rights Code, and federally regulated employment standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to implement strategic HR initiatives and cultivate an inclusive culture
- Experience in non-profit or post-secondary environments is an asset
