About the Opportunity
Join a boutique consulting firm that makes a real-world impact through policy evaluation and advisory services for government clients. This organization is currently undergoing a significant transformation of its back-office operations, and you will play a central role in building the foundation for their future growth.
In this people-centric role, you will work closely with the CFO and Director of Operations to streamline how the firm delivers analysis. You will be the vital link between finance, operations, and client-facing teams, ensuring that the data used to measure project success is clean, organized, and actionable.
What’s in it for You
This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional who wants to move beyond maintenance and into architectural design. You will enjoy a culture that values collaboration across functions and offers a direct path into a management role within one to two years.
The firm provides a supportive work environment with a 37.5-hour work week and flexible 9-5 hours. You will also receive a comprehensive total rewards package, including RRSP matching, health and dental benefits, and paid vacation.
Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead the design and implementation of cross-functional business processes to ensure key operations run effectively and accurately.
- In this role, you’ll oversee data governance by maintaining clean datasets that allow leadership to track utilization and project milestones.
- You will facilitate the project intake process, ensuring all contracts are properly coded and resource plans are aligned with revenue recognition.
- You’ll act as a strategic problem solver, collaborating with senior leadership to translate complex business needs into clear requirement specifications.
- You will represent the business in vendor conversations, helping to select and implement new tools that replace legacy systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data governance, or data management, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong ability to think in "systems" and experience building business processes from the ground up across multiple functions.
- High level of organization with a background in reporting, financial analysis, or project milestone tracking.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and work independently toward broad goals.
Note from the Hiring Manager
