Agilus is recruiting for a Maintenance Millwright in the food production industry in Concord, Ontario.
The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and optimize all electrical mechanical and automation systems supporting production, packaging and sanitation, ensure safe, reliable equipment performance while maximizing asset life and supporting continuous improvement. This is a night shift - 9pm – 5:30am

A typical day:
Install, maintain, repair production/packaging equipment
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and code requirements
Maintain, troubleshoot, and program PLCs, frequency drives, and automation devices
Perform preventive maintenance and complete PM/work orders
Install/calibrate instrumentation and field devices
Service motors, generators, alternators, and backup systems
Conduct preventative maintenance and complete work orders promptly. Diagnose faults and take corrective action
Monitor equipment performance and take proactive steps to prevent breakdowns. Maintain detailed logbook entries and communicate clearly with the team
Successful candidates will have:
Licensed Millwright (Ontario); along with strong electrical background/knowledge
2+ years maintenance experience in food manufacturing
Ability to work night shift - Monday - Friday - 9pm - 5:30am.
Experience with packaging, mixing, filling, or processing equipment used in food manufacturing
Knowledge of food-grade lubricants and safe maintenance practices in wet/dry processing areas
Welding skills, including: MIG/TIG/Arc welding, Cutting, grinding, and shaping metal is asset
Strong experience with industrial electrical systems and automation.
Ability to read/interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and code specifications. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems
Experience handling minor mechanical tasks, including adjustments, part replacements, and basic machine upkeep (motors, pumps, conveyors, valves, etc.).
Experience with switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, motors, and generators
Understanding of GMP/HACCP and safe work practices (including lockout/tagout)
