About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about building technology at massive scale? We are seeking a Senior Distributed Systems & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on designing and operating hyperscaler-grade systems. In this core engineering role, you’ll help shape a compute platform running across millions of nodes, working on orchestration, scheduling, and platform-level services that power next-generation infrastructure.
This is a future-facing, pipelining opportunity for experienced engineers looking to make an impact on highly distributed, multi-tenant environments. You’ll collaborate with other senior engineers to build resilient, secure, and highly reliable systems while advancing your own expertise in distributed computing, Kubernetes internals, and fleet management.
What’s In It for You
You’ll join a culture that values technical excellence, innovation, and operational rigor. Gain exposure to hyperscale and edge computing environments while contributing to a platform that handles millions of nodes. Enjoy mentorship opportunities, professional growth, and the chance to influence platform-level design decisions that impact global infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
- You’ll design and build large-scale distributed systems including control planes, orchestration systems, and fleet/cluster management.
- You’ll architect systems resilient to node churn, partial connectivity, and unpredictable failures.
- You’ll contribute to compute, scheduling, and platform-level services for hyperscale workloads.
- You’ll work deeply with multi-tenant, containerized environments, including Kubernetes internals.
- You’ll drive observability, reliability, and operational excellence using an SRE-style approach.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years building or operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of control plane vs. data plane architectures, distributed consensus, consistency models, and failure domains.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration, scheduling, and cluster/fleet management at scale.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, container runtime, and workload isolation.
- Proven experience building systems spanning hundreds of thousands to millions of nodes.
- Nice to have: experience with cloud compute platforms, edge computing, custom schedulers, zero-trust architectures, and secure workload execution.
