About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible finance role within a global manufacturing organization that plays a critical role in supporting Canada’s infrastructure and energy landscape. As Plant Controller, you’ll act as the financial backbone of a key production site, helping leadership make informed, data-driven decisions during a period of growth and operational evolution.
You’ll work closely with plant leadership, operations teams, and regional finance partners to ensure financial accuracy, strong controls, and meaningful insights. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the business, translating numbers into action, and influencing how financial processes support operational success.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll lead monthly financial close activities, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and compliance with IFRS and internal standards.
You’ll act as the primary finance partner for the plant, providing KPI reporting, variance analysis, and performance insights.
In this role, you’ll oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and flow controls to ensure data integrity.
You’ll support budgeting, forecasting, and risk management activities, including currency and commodity exposure.
You’ll drive improvements across reporting, standard costing, inventory control, and scrap analysis.
You’ll collaborate with internal and external auditors and support regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in plant controlling or manufacturing finance
University degree in finance, accounting, or business
Strong SAP experience
Solid understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and production reporting
Proven ability to improve financial processes and systems
Independent, organized, and solutions-focused approach
Strong communication skills and comfort partnering with operations
