About the Opportunity
This contract opportunity supports a large-scale IT initiative focused on the decommissioning of a legacy enterprise monitoring platform. Working within a public-sector technology environment, you will collaborate closely with IT teams, product owners, and external vendors to assess current-state usage, define future-state requirements, and support informed transition decisions. This role is ideal for a senior Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments, enjoys stakeholder-heavy discovery work, and brings confidence navigating system and operational analysis.
What’s In It for You
You will join a collaborative, Agile-focused environment where your expertise directly contributes to improving enterprise technology capabilities. This engagement offers exposure to modern monitoring platforms, meaningful stakeholder interaction, and the opportunity to influence decisions that shape long-term system performance and reliability.
Your Responsibilities
You will lead discovery efforts to understand current monitoring use cases, impacted users, and business rules tied to the existing platform.
You will work with IT and vendor teams to assess which monitoring functions can be retired versus transitioned to new tools.
You will partner with product owners on backlog refinement, prioritization, and roadmap alignment.
You will document user needs through user stories, process maps, and supporting analysis artifacts.
You will facilitate Agile ceremonies including refinement sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
You will support system and process analysis to identify gaps, dependencies, and transition requirements.
You may support Scrum Master responsibilities based on team capacity and needs.
