As the HR Policy & Complaints Advisor, you’ll be the trusted point of contact for sensitive workplace issues, supporting employees and leaders with discretion and sound judgment. You’ll balance policy development with investigative work, helping the organization navigate complex situations while maintaining compliance and fostering a healthy workplace culture.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead the development, review, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with employment standards, human rights, and health and safety legislation.
- You’ll conduct impartial workplace investigations into complaints including harassment, discrimination, and misconduct, from intake to resolution.
- You’ll provide guidance and subject matter expertise to managers and staff on policy interpretation, complaint processes, and respectful workplace practices.
- You’ll track trends in complaints and prepare non-identifying summary reports to inform prevention strategies.
- You’ll support training initiatives related to workplace conduct, harassment prevention, and policy awareness.
- You’ll collaborate closely with HR colleagues, leadership, and external advisors, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated expertise in policy development and workplace investigations
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, human rights, occupational health and safety, and HR best practices
- Experience analyzing, researching, and implementing policies with practical application across the organization
- Superior written communication skills, including policy drafting and investigative report writing
- Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and procedural fairness in sensitive situations
- CHRP/CPHR designation or equivalent training preferred, with flexibility to support ongoing professional development
