As Manager, Business Development, you will play a key role in expanding membership and a nationally recognized group insurance program by building meaningful partnerships with organizations in the education and broader professional sectors.Working closely with marketing, communications, benefits, and insurance specialists, you will lead outreach initiatives that create real value for partner organizations and their members. This is a client-facing, relationship-driven role where your ability to connect, collaborate, and think strategically will directly support national growth and long-term impact.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead B2B outreach and partnership development efforts across Canada, identifying and qualifying new education-sector and association partners.
- In this role, you’ll manage the full business development cycle, from initial outreach through proposal development, negotiation, and onboarding.
- You’ll build and maintain strong, long-term partner relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- You’ll collaborate with marketing and benefits teams to align outreach campaigns, branding, and lead-generation strategies.
- You’ll track pipeline performance, conversion metrics, and market insights using CRM tools to inform strategy and decision-making.
- You’ll contribute to organizational growth initiatives by participating in strategic planning and cross-functional projects.
Skills and Qualifications
- 8 to 10 years minimum of progressive experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition
- Experience in insurance or the non-profit sector, insurance experience is a strong asset
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and negotiate partnership agreements
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Dynamics 365 preferred, and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment
