Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Junior Geoscientist to join the Hydrogeology Technical Team based out of our Waterloo office.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Geoscientist, you would be involved in a variety of projects related to hydrogeologic assessments with a specific focus on the mining industry. The core competencies for this position include:

Confident individual who demonstrates strong initiative and is capable of independent action with the ability to make informed decisions
Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions and able to lift /move items and equipment up to 50 lbs
Excellent time management – balancing immediate and long-term work with varying priorities and deadlines
A valid G driver’s license is required.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
Assist Project Managers in the implementation of various hydrogeology studies.
Complete field investigations on a variety of sites under the direction of senior staff including borehole drilling, well construction and testing oversight; groundwater and surface water sampling; and water level monitoring.
Assist with site characterization studies, data analysis and follow-up reporting activities under the supervision of senior staff.
Perform tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques.
The ability to travel is required (approximately 20%) to support Northern mining projects.
Education and Experience
Post-secondary educational background, ideally M.Sc., ideally specializing in Earth Science/Geology or related field.
The ideal candidate will have experience in mining related projects and will be eligible for P.Geo. or P.Eng. in Ontario
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
