About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a respected public sector organization to identify a Contract Specialist to support a period of increased contract volume and operational demand. This role will sit at the intersection of legal, finance and program teams, providing hands-on support across the contract lifecycle and helping ensure agreements are clearly understood, properly tracked, and operationally sound.
As a Contract Specialist, you will work with a diverse portfolio of agreements including service contracts, funding agreements, NDAs, memorandums of understanding and collaborative arrangements. You will review, summarize and support the administration of contracts, helping internal teams understand key terms, obligations, timelines, and risk considerations. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys structure, detail, and practical problem-solving within a collaborative environment.

Your Responsibilities
- You'll support the review and administration of contracts and agreements, identifying key terms, obligations, deliverables, renewal dates, and compliance considerations.
- You'll prepare clear, plain-language summaries of contract provisions to support internal teams in understanding their responsibilities.
- You'll assist with contract intake, tracking, and documentation, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- You'll liaise with legal, finance, and program stakeholders to clarify contract requirements and support timely execution and follow-up.
- You'll contribute to improving contract management processes, templates, and tracking tools to support consistency and efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Mid-level experience in contract administration, contract analysis, or contract support within the public sector, legal, procurement or regulated environments.
- Strong ability to interpret contractual language and translate it into clear, actionable summaries.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple agreements simultaneously.
- Clear and professional written communication skills, particularly in documentation and internal summaries.
- Comfort working independently while coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Experience with contract management systems or tracking tools is considered an asset.
