About the Opportunity
As a Senior Consultant, Finance, IFRS 17, you'll join a high-impact finance consulting team supporting insurance organizations through complex change. In this role, you will help clients strengthen financial and regulatory reporting while navigating IFRS 17 transformation and ongoing managed services. Your work will directly influence how insurers produce, govern, and rely on their financial results.
You will collaborate closely with finance, actuarial, and technology teams, acting as a trusted partner across the full reporting lifecycle. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead finance transformation initiatives that streamline close and reporting cycles, improve controls, and enhance data quality.
- In this role, you’ll design and implement process improvements across financial statements, management reporting, KPIs, and regulatory filings.
- You’ll support IFRS 17 managed services end to end, including data validation, model execution, results review, and ledger postings.
- You’ll apply accounting policies and professional judgment to support disclosures, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- You’ll partner with actuarial teams to resolve data or methodology issues and ensure accurate, timely IFRS 17 results.
- You’ll manage deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams.
Skills and Qualifications
- CPA designation with experience supporting insurance organizations.
- Strong background in IFRS 17 implementation, production, or managed services.
- Solid understanding of insurer financial reporting, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with finance transformation or reporting optimization initiatives.
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 engines such as Moody’s RiskIntegrity is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
