You’ll join a tight-knit team within a public sector defence organization, helping plan and deliver an event with national and international reach.Working closely with the Team and a diverse group of stakeholders, including military leaders, public servants, industry, and academia, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping an experience where timelines matter, details count, and the work has real-world impact.Your ResponsibilitiesYou’ll plan and coordinate project activities supporting the symposium from early development through execution.In this role, you’ll build and maintain project plans, schedules, trackers, and supporting documentation.You’ll help develop and refine the symposium theme, ensuring alignment across content, speakers, and materials.You’ll prepare agendas, speaker materials, panel discussion points, and event handouts.You’ll support registration and on-site logistics, including badges, hospitality coordination, and stakeholder communications.You’ll provide structured updates through weekly meetings, weekly status reports, and monthly status reporting tied to invoicing.You’ll contribute to post-event reporting, including first impressions and final reports within required timelines.Skills and QualificationsProject Manager: 8+ years of project management experience, including advising senior stakeholders at the Director level or above.Project Manager: 5+ years developing strategic or operational policies, directives, plans, or concepts in a defence or security environment.Project Administrators: 1+ year of administrative support experience coordinating high-level engagements and maintaining records.Experience working in defence or similarly structured environments, with comfort handling sensitive information.Strong written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work on-site in a security-cleared setting.Why Partner with AltisIf you’ve never responded to a Government of Canada request, you’re in good hands with Altis.
