Job Title: QA Automation Engineer, Networking
Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON, Hybrid, 2–3 days on-site
Job Type: Contract, until December 2026, possibility of extension; 8 hours per day
Estimated Compensation: $70–$85/hour inc

Your Responsibilities
You will develop software test automation scripts to interact with routers and switches using Perl, C++, Java, or similar.
In this role, you will perform functional, stress, performance, and interoperability testing across IP routers, Ethernet switches, control apps, and network management systems.
You will develop and execute comprehensive test plans for products and new features.
You will define requirements for internal test automation tools and lead functional reviews.
You will review product requirements and feature specs, representing QA on a cross functional team.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years in a product development environment, preferably in industrial communications.
Hands-on configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls, plus Linux exposure.
Strong knowledge of L2, RSTP, VLAN, Ethernet, and L3, OSPF, RIP, SNMP, QoS, tunneling.
Familiarity with security protocols, IPsec VPN, firewall fundamentals, and TCP/IP.
Programming in Perl, C++, Java, or similar, software development experience is an asset.
Team oriented with clear, concise communication.
