As a Program QA Lead you’ll be working with ScotiaDigital Engineering team. You’ll work closely with multiple agile labs to evangelize an emphasis on quality.  Your responsibilities will include end to end test support and coordination, governance and continuous improvement. You’ll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions and input that will ensure customer needs are met with the highest quality. You’ll create test plans, develop strategies, coordinate with QA teams in ScotiaDigital agile labs and provide estimates to program.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


•    Develop, schedule, coordinate and execute test procedures of systems and software for multiple projects for system integration
•    Work closely with program managers and QA leads across scotia digital labs to ensure overall project delivery from quality enginnering perspective. 
•    Lead the analysis and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for digital projects. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide customers with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
•    Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the Program manager. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and objectives.
•    Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback and support. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
•    Partner with development engineers during story and task breakdown to develop test approach that effectively cover the functional and performance characteristics of a feature
•    Effectively communicates status report to management with analysis and next steps.  
•    Be/become a SME on usage of entire application suite, processes, workflows, etc
•    Working with Engineering team Management to improve the testing process
•    Understanding of enterprise software design principles – architecture, design patterns, OOP
•    Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your own time efficiently, without direct input or oversight 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:


•     4+ years of experience leading Quality assurance teams on Tire 1 / 2 projects. 
•    3+ years of hands on testing experience with native mobile applications. 
•    2+ years of experience working with multiple agile labs including senior management. 
•    You know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one. You understand the power of an inclusive team that enjoys working together to create a shared vision.
•    Familiarity with test data management for complex systems.  
•    Nice to have: 2+ years of experience working with financial applications.
