Agilus is recruiting for a Equipment Operator in the Oil and Gas Sector in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Our client is currently looking for a Contract Operator, who will work on a rotating schedule (likely 5 days on 2 days off) supporting all locations depending on business need. This could include supporting locations around Cold Lake, Bonnyville, Vermillion, Lloydminster, Wainwright, Hardisty and various Saskatchewan locations. Schedule and locations would be discussed and pre-approved by contractor and leader in advance. Total rewards: $35.00 - $40.00 hourly 1 year contract starts in Jan 2026 Various rotating schedule (likely 5 days on 2 days off) supporting all Midstream locations depending on business need. Driver’s Abstract Drug & Alcohol Fit for work testing. H2S Alive First Aid A typical day: Operate and Monitor Equipment: Oversee the operation of pumps, compressors, and other production equipment. Ensure all machinery is functioning correctly and efficiently. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety meetings. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. Report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team. Data Collection: Record and analyze production data. Use this information to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Environmental Stewardship: Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations. Participate in initiatives to reduce environmental impact. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including equipment failures and environmental incidents. Participate in emergency response drills. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other field operators, engineers, and management to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively and provide support as needed. Successful candidates will have: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in oil and gas operations is preferred. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry. Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications: • Valid safety certifications (e.g., H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS) are required. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
