Purpose

 

Leads and oversees the Strategy and Governance pillar of the AI & Ethics Governance team ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Develop and Implement AI Governance Frameworks: Create comprehensive policies, standards, and best practices to ensure responsible AI development and deployment
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and mitigate potential ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI systems.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on the latest AI regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant laws
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with various departments to build trust and ensure that AI initiatives align with organizational goals and values
  • Promote Fairness, Transparency and Accountability: Develop guidelines to ensure AI systems are fair, transparent and accountable, fostering trust among users and stakeholders
  • Educate and Train Staff: Provide training and resources to employees on AI governance practices and ethical considerations.
  • Report and Communicate Findings: Regularly report on AI governance activities and findings to senior management and other relevant parties.

 

 Minimum Requirements:

 

  • 7+ years of experience in governance, compliance, risk oversight, AI, model development or validation.
  • Deep understanding of AI technologies (e.g., predictive AI, NLP, LLM, and Agentic AI), AI Risk Management practices, relevant global regulations, laws and standards (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework and E-23)
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., compliance, data risk, legal, privacy, technology, business and model risk management) and effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines at once.
  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to articulate complex concepts in a non-technical way.
  • Highly efficient problem solving skills.
