Our client in the real estate sector is seeking a skilled Building Operator who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing commercial office buildings. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative and service-oriented team supporting a stationary portfolio that plays a meaningful role in the tenant experience.
You will work closely with property managers, contractors, and tenants to ensure building systems run smoothly and issues are resolved quickly. Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
You will monitor and optimize building automation systems to support energy efficiency.
You will conduct regular building inspections and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
You will coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete maintenance and repair work.
You will maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and operational activities.
You will participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours needs across the portfolio.
You will provide attentive customer service to tenants, helping maintain a positive and reliable environment.
Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of progressive building operations experience in commercial environments, ideally office buildings
Experience with building automation systems is an asset
Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication abilities and comfort working both independently and within a team
