Business Intelligence Developer
Location: Toronto, ON. Hybrid- 2 to 3 days per week on-site
Job Type: 1 year Contract (7 hours/day)

Compensation: $75/hr - $83/hr

Your Responsibilities
- In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and document datasets, semantic layers, dashboards, and reports in Microsoft Power BI and MicroStrategy.
- You will model data and create high quality datasets aligned with enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- You will support end users, offering guidance and troubleshooting related to Power BI and MicroStrategy tools.
- You will collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- You will research emerging practices, provide accurate time estimates, and prepare documentation that meets PMO standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer with a degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification and MicroStrategy professional certification, Architect or Developer level are required.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, MicroStrategy, Azure, Synapse, SQL Server 2019 and data modelling for BI platforms.
- Experience configuring and administering Microsoft Power BI environments and implementing deployment pipelines.
- Extensive hands-on experience developing business intelligence solutions- data cubes, schemas, dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy 2020 or later.
- Hands-on experience working with MicroStrategy Command Manager, Developer and Object Manager tools.
- Experience working with SQL Server 2019 or later.
- Ability to solve complex data and integration challenges with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
- Public Service and Transit experience an asset.
