PROGRAM MANAGER, ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS

Hybrid – Shelburne, Ontario
Full-Time | Corporate IT | On-site 2–3 days per week

We are growing, and we are looking for a Program Manager, Enterprise Systems to lead the modernization and alignment of our core business systems across SAP, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Document Management.

Position Summary

The Program Manager, Enterprise Systems is responsible for planning, delivering, and governing enterprise-wide technology initiatives that span SAP, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Document Management platforms.

This role requires end-to-end program ownership, including strategy, roadmapping, business case development, stakeholder engagement, process design, and delivery execution. The ideal candidate has experience in smaller or midsize organizations, or mixed environments, where they were accountable for the full lifecycle of complex system implementations rather than only one module or workstream.

Success in this role requires strong business acumen, technical understanding, and a collaborative leadership style that engages operations, supply chain, finance, and IT teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Program Leadership

  • Lead enterprise-wide programs spanning SAP, BI, and EDM systems, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain multi-year system roadmaps, program playbooks, and implementation strategies.
  • Build business cases and ROI analyses to justify major systems initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership and ownership.
  • Oversee integrations and dependencies across multiple systems, vendors, and internal teams.

SAP Program Ownership

  • Lead or oversee SAP initiatives including enhancements, integrations, optimizations, and S/4HANA-related projects.
  • Facilitate process design workshops, fit-gap analysis, testing cycles, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Partner with functional and technical SAP resources to ensure continuity, quality, and adoption.

Business Intelligence Delivery

  • Own BI strategy and implementation, supporting the creation of reliable, actionable reporting for operations, finance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Work with data owners to define KPIs, reporting standards, and governance models.
  • Lead BI platform enhancements, dashboards, and data structure improvements in partnership with analytics teams.

Enterprise Document Management

  • Oversee document management system improvements and migrations involving platforms such as SharePoint, OpenText, or comparable technologies.
  • Define document governance, permission models, and lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure alignment between EDM structure and business process needs.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Leadership

  • Work closely with business owners across operations, supply chain, finance, HR, and production to understand needs and drive engagement.
  • Lead change management activities including communication planning, training coordination, readiness assessments, and adoption support.
  • Build strong relationships across plants and corporate teams, promoting collaboration and transparency.

Governance, Reporting and Controls

  • Establish program governance frameworks including RAID logs, steering deck updates, milestone reviews, and financial tracking.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and IT stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

  • Seven to ten years of experience in program management, enterprise systems delivery, or ERP, BI, and EDM transformation roles.
  • Hands-on delivery experience in SAP environments such as ECC, S4HANA, or SAP cloud modules.
  • Experience leading BI implementation, reporting structure development, or analytics modernization.
  • Experience managing document management systems and content governance.
  • Background working in manufacturing, supply chain, CPG, utilities, or similar operational industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across business and IT.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience creating business cases, presenting to leadership, and justifying system investments.

Preferred

  • Experience in smaller or midsize organizations where PMs wear multiple hats.
  • SAP Activate, PMP, PROSCI, Lean, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with integrations involving MES, WMS, CRM, or financial systems.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar BI tools.
