About the Opportunity

Our client, a large national retail organization, is seeking a thoughtful and experienced professional to support store operators across Canada during times of transition and operational change. As a Dealer Changeover Consultant, you will guide independent owners through new systems, processes, and operating practices, ensuring they can adopt changes with confidence and minimal disruption.

You will act as the connection point between corporate teams and the dealer network, helping local operators navigate new standards, technology updates, and transformation initiatives. This role has a strong people focus and offers the chance to influence store performance, operational consistency, and customer experience across a large multi-location network.

What’s in it for You

You will join a collaborative and supportive team that values clear communication, practical problem solving, and partnership. This role offers broad exposure to store operations, change management, and transformation work, along with opportunities to build strong relationships across the network. You will gain hands-on experience in guiding stores through important operational changes while contributing to a culture built on trust, continuous improvement, and shared success.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will lead and coordinate dealer changeovers, helping new operators adopt required systems, processes, and standards.
  • You will guide store teams through operational transitions, identifying gaps early and providing coaching that strengthens consistency and performance.
  • You will translate corporate direction into actionable plans that independent operators can understand and implement.
  • You will provide on-the-ground insight to internal teams to support continuous improvement of programs and tools.
  • You will apply change management practices to help operators adopt new technology, processes, or performance models with clarity and buy-in.
  • You will conduct assessments of store readiness and provide recommendations that support smooth transitions and strong operational outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in retail operations, franchise or dealer operations, transformation, or change management.
  • Experience in big-box or multi-location environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with detailed documentation, data tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts such as depreciation, asset categorization, and financial handover processes.
  • Organized, practical, and confident managing multiple transitions at once.
  • Comfortable working in stores, supporting operators directly, and adapting to fast-changing environments.
  • Travel flexibility, including regular travel across Canada to support store transitions (must reside within proximity to major airport)

Note from the Hiring Manager

“We are looking for someone who can build trust quickly, stay steady through change, and help our store operators feel supported during big transitions. If you enjoy working closely with people, solving problems, and bringing clarity to complex moments, you will do well here.”
