About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where your work directly shapes the success of a province wide technology program. In this position, you will guide complex initiatives, support cross functional teams, and ensure the program delivers measurable outcomes that matter.

You will join a public sector environment that values clarity, strong governance, and collaboration. Working closely with project managers, stakeholders, and government partners, you will bring strategic oversight, operational coordination, and trusted leadership to a diverse portfolio of initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

• In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of each project within the program and how they connect.
• You will oversee and coordinate dependencies across all projects to ensure alignment and reduce risks.
• You will support program, project, and resource planning while ensuring adherence to PMO governance standards and policies.
• You will liaise with stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and accurate reporting.
• You will work closely with project managers to guide the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within scope.
• You will track project status, KPIs, and overall performance to support accountability.
• You will engage in vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations.
• You will contribute to ongoing PMO process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience managing Information Technology projects.
• PMP or Prince2 Practitioner certification.
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and strategic planning.
• Experience leading teams within a provincial government environment.
• Strong understanding of IT, cyber security, and their application to business needs.
• Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong leadership, analysis, problem solving, and organizational abilities.
