This is a great opportunity for someone who is analytical, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll join an established team of Rating Clerks and report directly to the Manager of Rates & Audit. Industry experience is an asset, but strong customer service skills and the ability to learn quickly are equally valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to rate quotation requests via phone, email, and fax

  • Handle 30–40 inbound customer calls daily regarding pricing inquiries and shipment rates

  • Provide rate quotes for potential shipments and resolve discrepancies when rates no longer match

  • Manage customer inquiries, issues, and disputes with professionalism and accuracy

  • Conduct pre- and post-audits on customer freight bills

  • Apply rates, corrections, and cubes using internal systems

  • Audit carrier partner freight bills for payment accuracy

  • Liaise with Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Service regarding invoice disputes and shipment concerns

  • Review and correct unrated bills, short-paid invoices, and adjustment notifications

  • Collaborate with terminals and interline carriers on accessorial adjustments and pending updates

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or customer service experience (transportation rating/auditing experience is an asset, but not required)

  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage a steady workflow

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel); familiarity with AS400 is an asset (training provided)

  • Professional, tactful, and customer-oriented approach

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
