Job Title: Governance and Compliance Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON, Hybrid, 2–3 days on-site per week
Job Type: Contract, full-time hours, 6 months to start, with possible extension
About the Opportunity
Join a collaborative PMO within a public sector environment where structure, accountability, and quality matter. In this role, you will help ensure projects consistently meet governance standards, creating clarity for sponsors and predictability for delivery teams.
You will partner with project managers and cross-functional stakeholders, providing hands-on guidance and quality checks. Your work will support the evolution of PMO methodologies, aligning to PMI best practices while improving how projects are planned, tracked, and reported.

Your Responsibilities
You will monitor initiatives for adherence to PMO standards, policies, and procedures.
You will champion standardized documentation and templates across projects.
You will track risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining audit-ready records.
You will review deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
You will recommend process improvements rooted in PMI-aligned best practices.
You will produce clear governance reports that inform decisions and promote transparency.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years in project governance, PMO, or compliance-focused roles.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and PMI standards.
Proficiency with PPM or project tools, plus Microsoft 365, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and stakeholder communication.
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple deliverables.
