Hiring a Piping designer in Sarnia for a short term contract ! Agilus is recruiting for a Piping designer in the Energy industry in Sarnia, Ontario. Total rewards: $40.00 - $60.00 hourly 3 - 6 month contract A typical day: Develop piping layouts and designs for brownfield projects within refinery environments, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards Review and update existing drawings to accommodate modifications and tie-ins for new installations Conduct site visits and field checks to verify existing conditions and gather accurate measurements for design work Prepare detailed piping drawings and isometrics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS) Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues and ensure constructability Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and refinery-specific standards throughout the design process Provide technical support during installation and commissioning as required Successful candidates will have: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Minimum 10+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas or refinery projects. Proven experience in brownfield projects, including tie-ins and modifications On-site experience conducting field checks and verifying existing conditions. Strong understanding of ASME codes, piping standards, and refinery specifications Strong communication and coordination skills for multi-disciplinary teams Must be legally eligible to work in Canada This posting is for an active opening.
