Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of a Sports Product Specialist. This is a 12-month contract position operating out of the organization's Vancouver office. This role requires a deep understanding of both sports betting mechanics and professional collegiate sports, as well as current events, to help maximize revenue while managing risk and ensuring the highest standards of product integrity.
This position will work from 9am - 5pm Thursday - Monday.
The Sports Product Specialist will oversee daily sports betting operations, including bet processing, odds monitoring, and accuracy maintenance across a variety of markets.
This position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to streamline workflows, troubleshoot operational issues, and deliver a seamless experience for players.
Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of daily sports betting operations across online channels.
Collaborate with sportsbook operations, trading services, and product teams to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure superior player experiences.
Validate the availability and accuracy of betting events and markets.
Use content management systems to update marketing content, links, and templates on both desktop and mobile platforms.
Monitor live sports and adjust odds in real time to reflect current conditions.
Work alongside Consumer Services to resolve customer inquiries efficiently and professionally.
Track performance metrics, trends, and promotional campaigns, using data insights to enhance player engagement and ensure compliance with regulations.
Partner with the risk management team to manage liabilities across various sports.
Coordinate with marketing, communications, B2B, business insights, and other teams to support player engagement strategies.
Keep up to date with industry developments, betting trends, and competitor activities to recommend improvements.
Support the creation and rollout of new betting products and features.
Perform additional tasks as requested by the Project Manager.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sports betting operations, casino operations, or a closely related field.
Degree or diploma in Business, Sports Management, or a related discipline; equivalent education/experience combinations will also be considered.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support live sporting events.
Comprehensive knowledge of professional sports and sports betting markets.
Familiarity with sports betting software and operational systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and general computer literacy.
