This is for a Hybrid role in Ottawa, ON Canada.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will lead a small team of Business Process Automation specialists and personally participate in the hands-on implementation, integration, and troubleshooting/testing of Business Process Automation flows/processes including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions. The successful candidate will work with end users and other stakeholders to define and refine the applicable Business Processes prior to implementation and follow-up with them post-implementation to confirm that what has been implemented meets the need in practical use.

Key Areas of Responsibility
 

The successful candidate will:

  • Implement, integrate, and troubleshoot/test Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions

  • Automate Business Processes, engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure the defined processes meet the need; and

  • Lead a team of BPA specialists providing direct oversight of their work.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education with relevant experience

  • Software Development and Business Process Automation (BPA) experience: 15 years, including (the following items are not exclusive of each other):

    • Experience leading a team of software or BPA developers: 2 years;

    • Experience automating business processes: 5 years, including:

      Experience working with Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA); and

      Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN);

    • Experience developing Web Services: 5 years, including:

      Back-end web app software development with Java web services; and

      Use of JavaScript for web application development; and

    • Enterprise Software Integration: 4 years, including: Experience designing and integrating solutions for secure, distributed (multi-datacenter) environments including experience such as:

      Email notifications (SMTP) into distributed architectures;

      REST API design and invocation using bearer tokens, with an understanding of security best practices for distributed systems; and

      Configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting proxies (including security, performance, and authentication integrations).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile software development environment

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Experience with requirements gathering and documentation

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with military, aerospace, or complex Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) domains

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC) 112,914.08 - 194,331.30 CAD Annual
