Job Statement
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Registered Products, the RESP Administrator will be responsible for all processes related to the operation of Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs). This role requires a highly motivated and energetic candidate to ensure all requests from advisors, clients, and head office are processed accurately and timely, in line with established service level agreements. The administrator will also reconcile control accounts by set deadlines.
Essential Functions
- Manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with ESDC on monthly grant processing and error reports.
- Process EAP, PSE, capital withdrawals, AIP, and contributions while maintaining notional history for transfers and rollovers.
- Review EAP withdrawal requests and approve Proof of Enrollment.
- Open new RESP accounts, update notional information, set up PAC and beneficiaries, and apply for RESP grants.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of deliverables per established SLAs.
- Monitor the application of various grants and update relevant information in the RESP module.
- Assist with data integrity and validate information for new accounts and transfers.
- Participate in audits related to ESDC.
- Assist in training new team members.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an RESP administration and processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Enhanced CESG rules, including CES, CLB, ECESG, and BC-TESP Grant.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Knowledge of Dataphile is a plus.
