Our client, a leading public sector organization modernizing its enterprise applications, is seeking an ERP Solutions Architect to shape the conceptual and target-state architecture for a multi-year Corporate Functions Transformation Program. This is a highly strategic, senior role supporting the business case, business readiness phase, and transition into implementation for a new ERP platform spanning HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT.
If you excel at defining the “big picture,” reducing customization risk, and guiding organizations toward cohesive enterprise design, this is an excellent opportunity.
About the Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for designing the conceptual architecture and technical guardrails that will guide a major ERP modernization. Working closely with business and technology leaders, you will:
Establish a target-state architecture across Finance, Procurement, HR, and related corporate functions
Define non-functional requirements and guardrails, including security, privacy, resilience, auditability, and fit-to-standard principles
Develop current → future state heatmaps and a disposition of legacy applications to “keep/retire/replace”
Produce conceptual data flows for master data, transactions, reporting, and analytics
Define the operational reporting vs. enterprise analytics split
Map transition waves (coexistence, migration increments, big bang options)
Document Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to ensure traceability, rationale, and risk visibility
Recommend “no-regrets” data readiness actions to accelerate implementation
Support leadership with strategic architectural guidance during the program’s business readiness phase
This role is hands-on in its analysis and design, but highly strategic in shaping the future ERP ecosystem.
What’s In It For You
Be at the centre of a large, multi-year digital transformation
Influence foundational decisions for a new enterprise-wide ERP platform
Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT leaders
Work with modern ERP ecosystems including HR, Finance, Procurement, and enterprise analytics
Competitive contract rate and flexible hybrid work arrangements
About You
You bring a strong enterprise and solution architecture background, with a focus on conceptual and target-state design. You have:
Must-Have Skills
10+ years in Solution Architecture and/or Enterprise Architecture
Recent (past 5 years) hands-on experience designing or implementing an ERP solution (Workday, SAP, Oracle, D365, etc.)
Experience defining conceptual solutions across Finance, HR, and Procurement
Strong understanding of data domains, integration patterns, master data flows, and reporting architecture
Ability to produce heatmaps, system dispositions, transition architectures, and migration approaches
Experience defining NFRs (security, privacy/data residency, resilience, performance, auditability)
Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
Nice-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
MBA or advanced degree
Experience with large public sector or enterprise transformations
