We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide Data Governance and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives for a major organization undergoing significant digital transformation. This role is ideal for a PM who thrives in complex environments and has strong experience delivering data-focused and AI-driven projects with rigorous governance, compliance, and cross-functional coordination.

In this position, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact data governance and AI projects that shape the organization’s enterprise data strategy. You will coordinate technical, business, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity teams to establish data standards, enhance data quality, and implement responsible AI solutions. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead full project lifecycle activities, including planning, requirements gathering, implementation, integration, and production releases.

• Maintain adherence to PMO standards, change management processes, scope controls, and quality requirements.

• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Data Governance Initiatives

• Implement and refine data governance frameworks, including data quality, data classification, metadata, and lineage initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements.

• Drive data stewardship practices across business units.

AI & Machine Learning Projects

• Oversee AI/ML project delivery, including requirements, model validation, deployment, and integration with enterprise systems.

• Promote responsible AI practices, including ethics, bias mitigation, and data transparency.

• Collaborate closely with data science and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business leaders, technical teams, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Cybersecurity.

• Provide clear communication on status, risks, issues, and recommendations to steering committees and senior leadership.

• Facilitate change management, training, and adoption of data governance and AI-enabled capabilities.

Risk, Resource & Financial Management

• Identify risks related to data, AI, compliance, and integration; develop and execute mitigation plans.

• Manage resource allocation and coordination with internal and external teams.

• Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering technology, data governance, or AI/ML initiatives.

• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, and compliance.

• Experience overseeing AI or machine learning projects in an enterprise environment.

• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience working in a regulated or high-governance environment is a strong asset.
