Altis Recruitment is excited to partner with our client in Mississauga to recruit a permanent Import & Export Analyst. This hybrid role (3 days onsite) is responsible for managing compliance with domestic and international import/export regulations, overseeing logistics processes, and supporting efficient departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customs and logistics activities for import and export shipments across multiple divisions.
  • Maintain and update the HS Tariff Classification system, including assigning codes for new products.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable government regulations for import and export processes.
  • Review and verify customs broker invoices and coordinate with brokers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with transportation providers to optimize shipping costs, service quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor logistics performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education (college or university degree) with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs compliance, and logistics operations.
  • CBSA certification or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work within established policies and procedures while managing multiple priorities.
