About the Role
We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day financial operations of a well-established organization in the manufacturing and distribution sector. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing reliable insight to guide business decisions.
Reporting to the General Manager, this position is ideal for a self-sufficient professional who can step into an existing structure, assess current processes, and bring stability and consistency to the finance function. The successful candidate will manage full-cycle accounting, reporting, and payroll while ensuring the organization’s financial health is well understood and well managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify gaps in existing processes and implement improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and reporting timelines.
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or in the final stages of completion).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a product-based or retail manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical accounting and full-cycle bookkeeping capabilities.
- Proven ability to operate independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.
