Job Title: Record Center Specialist

Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9-hour shifts (includes a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)
Duration: 3 Months
Start Date: October 23, 2025
Clearance Required: Reliability Clearance

Job Summary

The Record Center Specialist is responsible for handling, organizing, and processing storage materials including boxes, bins, and totes containing files, books, binders, and backup tapes. This position involves frequent physical activity such as lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Move, lift, arrange, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing from 10 lbs up to 100 lbs.
  • Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Process incoming and outgoing orders using a proprietary computer system and handheld scanners.
  • Read and interpret labels and tracking information to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
  • Manually load pallets onto trucks and transport materials across varied surfaces (stairs, inclines, and uneven flooring).
  • Climb and balance on ladders to retrieve or store materials.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Experience using handheld scanners and basic computer systems preferred.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Reliability Clearance.
  • Demonstrated dependability and attention to safety procedures.
