Our client in the healthcare industry is hiring for a Temporary Administrative/Clerical Assistant to support their Legal and Risk Management team. This role involves handling day-to-day administrative tasks, scheduling meetings with internal leaders and external claims adjustors, and providing general clerical support to help manage overflow.
Location & Work Model: Hybrid in Waterloo
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days (8:00–4:00 or 9:00–5:00)
Contract Duration: 11 weeks
Responsibilities
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Legal/Risk team
Schedule and coordinate meetings between internal staff and external claims adjustors
Prepare, scan, copy, and organize documents and reports
Manage incoming emails, correspondence, and appointment bookings
Support consultants, managers, and directors with day-to-day administrative tasks
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to privacy policies
Assist with occasional in-office filing and paperwork as needed
Requirements
Previous experience in an office or administrative role (hospital, legal, or insurance setting)
Strong clerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Familiarity with scheduling and working with claims adjustors
Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to take direction and work independently
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
