Data Architect
Start Date: 17 Nov 2025
End Date: 31 Mar 2027
Location: Regina, SK. Onsite preferred but not required. Flexibility to travel periodically to meet the team onsite is required.
Workday is 8:00am-5:00pm, M-F regular office hours.
Our client in the energy sector is looking for a Data Architect to support the Nuclear Business Technology program with the Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Modeling /Schemas, Data Analysis, industry best practices, information architecture, detailed data specifications, and integration patterns.
Must haves:
- 8+ years of experience with data governance, strategies and related information architecture principles.
- Experience in developing data strategies and data governance models.
- Experience building dashboard, reports or data driven solutions.
- Experience in Azure data services, Informatica, SparxEA or equivalent
- Certification and experience with The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF) is an asset.
- University Degree in Administration, computer science, information architecture, data analytics, software engineering or related study.
- Strong oral and written communications skills, including diagrams and logical flows.
Deliverables:
- Promote and educate data governance principles and practices
- Facilitate working sessions with business and technical audiences around data governance.
- Develop data and data governance standards in collaboration with business subject matter experts.
- Document data lineage, integrations & transformations across the enterprise.
- Map data transformations to business process and practices.
- Facilitate identification, documentation & socialization on systems of record.
- Create and maintain Data Architecture documentation on projects.
- Lead data scorecard development.
- Identify data roles and responsibilities across business areas and data categories.
- Document data quality issues and classification of issues into categories.
- Create strategies and process to track, improve data.
- Profile data based on risk and strategic priorities.
- Contribution to concept, methodology, component definition, improvement
- Contribution and guidance on industry directions and best practices
- Deliver solutions using agile sprint methodology.
