Our client in the non-profit industry is looking for a Bilingual Program Officer to join their team for a 2-3 month contract role. This position requires weekly travel throughout Canada and the ability to work in the office 1–2 days per week.

The Program Officer plays a key role in supporting the successful implementation, monitoring, reporting, and budgeting of collaborative programs and projects. This position involves working closely with internal teams and a range of stakeholders, including member institutions, government representatives, and industry partners.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, an organized multitasker, and a proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment. The Program Officer will help ensure that all projects deliver measurable value to stakeholders and that contractual and funding commitments are met.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of programs and projects.

  • Assist with budgeting, financial tracking, invoicing and ensuring deliverables are met.

  • Coordinate communication and engagement with partners, members, and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to project outreach and ensure alignment with program goals.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and program documentation.

  • Support the organization of events and meetings across Canada.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure effective program delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bilingual in English and French

  • 2-4 years of experience in project/program coordination and financial administration.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience creating reports and presentations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Experience managing administrative processes or databases (asset).

  • Research and analytical experience (asset).
