Our client, a major player in the retail and eCommerce space, is seeking an experienced Manager, Digital Marketing Analytics to lead performance measurement, campaign optimization, and data strategy across their digital advertising programs. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with marketing, data, and eCommerce teams, delivering impactful insights that drive strategic media decisions across channels such as Paid Search, Social, Display, and Affiliate Marketing.
We’re looking for someone who is both technically hands-on and strategically minded; comfortable building dashboards, analyzing multi-channel performance data, and leading a team of analysts in a fast-paced, omni-channel environment. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to present insights and inform key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing Analytics & Optimization
Develop and deliver automated dashboards and performance reporting (using Tableau, Looker Studio) to monitor KPIs such as ROAS, CAC, Conversion Rates, and CPC.
Conduct deep-dive analyses on campaign performance across platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, DV360, etc.) to surface actionable insights and optimization strategies.
Support and lead test-and-learn initiatives including A/B tests, incrementality studies, and cross-channel attribution modeling.
Data Strategy & Tagging Architecture
Oversee tagging and data capture strategies to ensure comprehensive tracking across web and app environments.
Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain accurate, scalable data pipelines (BigQuery) for consistent reporting.
Manage DMP taxonomy and support segmentation, targeting, and personalization efforts with marketing stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor a team of analysts, helping them grow while delivering business-critical insights and performance narratives.
Act as a key partner to cross-functional teams and external vendors to align media measurement strategies with business goals.
Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and advocate for best practices in analytics and storytelling.
Project & Process Management
Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing based on business impact and available resources.
Contribute to operational strategy, including analytics team structure, skill development, and performance management.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
5+ years of experience in digital marketing or media analytics, preferably in eCommerce or retail.
Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g., DV360, Meta Ads, affiliate networks) and attribution frameworks.
Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred); experience with R or Python is a strong asset.
Advanced skills in dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Google Looker Studio.
Experience managing campaign tagging, A/B testing, and analyzing multi-touch customer journeys.
2+ years of experience leading analytics teams, with a focus on developing talent and aligning strategy to business objectives.
Familiarity with GA4, Adobe Analytics, and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.) is an asset.
Experience in large, enterprise-scale environments with exposure to Canadian privacy regulations (CASL, PIPEDA) is a plus.
Knowledge or exposure to retail media networks and clean room environments (e.g., Google ADH, LiveRamp) is highly valued.
Work Environment:
Hybrid: 4 days onsite at the North York office; occasional visits to other sites as required.
Team Culture: Collaborative, data-driven, and focused on innovation within a fast-paced retail/eCommerce environment.
