Job Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Architect – Contract
Location: Hybrid – Ottawa (1 day a week on-site)

Contract Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $110–$130/hour
Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant experience required
About the Role:
Our non-profit health care client is seeking a highly experienced Business Intelligence Architect to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. This role focuses on creating data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and mentoring junior BI professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of BI strategy, architecture, and data visualization standards.
- Lead the architecture and design of BI solutions and related assets with a focus on client digestible outputs.
- Develop, optimize, and manage interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics assets.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define reporting requirements and integrate new data sources.
- Contribute to data governance, continuous improvement, and BI best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of BI and data analytics experience, including 3+ years in an architect/senior developer capacity.
- Expertise in Power Platform is required
- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL, and data modeling is preferred
- Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- BI-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Power BI, MCSE) are assets.
