Our client, a leading real estate development firm, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic property management team in Toronto.
From daily operations to preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, this hands-on role will play a critical part in keeping a large high-rise residential property running smoothly while maintaining a positive experience for residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular inspections and handle both proactive and emergency maintenance of building systems and in-unit repairs, ensuring all areas remain safe, functional, and in optimal working condition.
- Respond promptly and professionally to service requests and resident issues, troubleshooting concerns and providing exceptional customer service.
- Prepare units for new tenant occupancy by completing thorough turnover maintenance and repairs, ensuring suites are “rent ready”.
- Support the maintenance and emergency operations of key building systems, including elevators, boilers, mechanical sprinklers, and fire panels, ensuring full compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage accurate records of maintenance activities, including MSDS sheets, equipment logs, and safety documentation.
- Monitor the condition of building exteriors, rooftops, common areas, and waste disposal zones, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness.
- Uphold health and safety standards, including WHMIS/MSDS compliance and equipment servicing routines
- Act as an on-site liaison to escalate property-related issues and ensure consistent communication with both on-site and regional management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in property maintenance and management, with a background working in large multi-residential buildings considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety infrastructure.
- Proficient in building and unit-level repairs, with a track record of successful troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset.
- This position requires the Technician to have their own basic tools, in addition to a reliable vehicle and valid G-Class driver’s license.
