Your Opportunity

Stantec's vision is to be recognized as a national leader in the assessment, rehabilitation and replacement of bridges and other transportation structures in each region of Canada that we operate in. Our National Bridge Team is currently over 90 strong and there are immediate opportunities to work across all jurisdictions and contribute to interesting projects of all scale and type. We are looking for a talented Intermediate Bridge Engineer to deliver projects as part of our Transportation Engineering Group in Moncton, New Brunswick. We are looking for passionate engineers to strengthen our team delivering high-end engineering services to our current and future clients, particularly in the Maritime provinces, but also across Canada.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Technical design for bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundation engineering assignments

  • Analysis, design, preparation & delivery of tender packages, visual inspections, report preparation, cost estimating, construction engineering services

  • Business development and proposal preparation "

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proven ability to deliver bridge design and analysis projects from start to finish

  • Excellent report writing skills

  • Familiarity with NBDTI and NS Department of Public Works design standards and project delivery is an asset

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork

  • Experience with CSiBridge / SAP2000 / MIDAS Civil / SFrame / AutoCAD and similar software is an asset

  • Experience with D/B or P3 projects is an asset

Education and Experience

  • P.Eng. designation with APEGNB or the ability to transfer

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the Bridge Consulting Engineering industry

  • Master’s Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Engineering is an asset

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
